City Center Hotel Reykjavik

For our educational tour group, staying at this hotel was a convenient choice as it was located right in the city center. The friendly staff provided great recommendations for local eateries and activities. Despite some noise from the bustling nightlife, we appreciated the comfortable rooms and excellent shower pressure.

The bus stop for day trips was just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. the hotel had a friendly and helpful staff who were always willing to assist with any questions or requests.

The location is perfect with lots of amenities around, but beware of potential noise from neighboring bars, so ask for a room away from them if you're a light sleeper. I loved the hotel's central location near shops and restaurants. It was convenient for airport transfers and northern lights cruises. The room was spacious with a beautiful view. The friendly staff upgraded our room for free. However, noise from nearby pubs and street parties disrupted our sleep.

Centrally located, helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, free parking after 6 pm, value for money accommodation.

the heating was amazing, but those curtains 🙈 not so much. Super close to everything, loved the breakfast, and the staff were so helpful. Wish the windows were more covered though.

The hotel is situated in a bustling area with a vibrant nightlife, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The location allows easy access to popular attractions such as the Hallgrmskirkja and the Harpa concert hall. The helpful and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable and went out of their way to assist us with bus stops and directions. The room had a nice view of the city, and it was cleaned daily.

The hotel lacks curb appeal and may not be visually appealing from the outside.

The party atmosphere on the main street was electric, perfect for us party people. The view from our second floor room of The Drunk Rabbit pub was fantastic. The simple and well-designed rooms had blackout curtains to block out the 2am sun. The staff were the highlight of the hotel, helpful, friendly, and funny, making us feel right at home. The beds were very comfy and the room had a huge TV with Netflix.

Felt like being home, no complaints at all.

I got a great deal for my stay at this hotel and it was definitely value for money. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of downtown where all the popular bars and restaurants are. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the rooms had all the basic amenities I needed. I especially loved the huge bathroom with a bathtub, it had an authentic local touch. The breakfast offered a good selection for vegetarians, with both hot and cold options.

We loved the convenient location of the hotel, right in the heart of the city. The rooms had a funky and chic decor that we really enjoyed. They were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The staff at reception, particularly Raisly, were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were lucky to find parking right outside the hotel on a Sunday and holiday Monday.
